LaNette J. Hendrix: President

LaNette J. Hendrix is currently in full time ministry; serves on the Board of Directors and as Assistant Teacher for Education Plus International Ministries. She is also Founder and President of Val’s House International Ministries.

LaNette has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked almost 20 years in an insurance agency in Denton, Texas but her passion was youth. She served the Lord as Youth Sunday School Teacher for 18 years, and then she led an adult drama team called The Flock for 8 years. The Lord began to give her a passion for women’s ministry and in 2008 Val’s House International Ministries was founded with the goal of having several weekly meetings available for women to attend where they had a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere. Authenticity and transparency along with much love and support from other ladies, allows each of us to become ‘Hope Dispensers’ to others still trapped in darkness and despair. The meetings are called ‘Val’s House’ because we wanted to set an atmosphere that didn’t feel like Bible Study. When you come to Val’s, you don’t sense a ‘churchy’ setting. You feel like you are at Grandma’s house with your favorite cousins who love you with or without your make-up on, hair done, or clothes perfectly ironed. These ‘come as you are’ meetings are helping women and their families to find hope and healing, love and laughter, and to feel the total acceptance of our amazing and wonderful Heavenly Father. The dream that the Lord has given LaNette for this ministry also includes providing several conferences and retreats each year for churches or women’s groups to further their spiritual growth and experience.

LaNette gave her life to the Lord at a youth retreat at Camp Windermere in Southern Missouri on Aug. 22, 1975. Two days later upon arriving home from camp, she led her Mother to the Lord. Like a domino effect, her entire family accepted Christ as their Savior (except for 2 year old sister, Valarie) were baptized together 6 weeks later.

LaNette has two adult children, Lindsay and Timothy, and is proud Nonni to Grandson, Daniel.

LaNette invites you to attend one of our weekly meetings, attend one or all of our annual events, or book Val’s House to lead an event for your women’s or church group. We are here to serve you!

Church in Denton.

She has been employed by Labinal, Inc. in Corinth, Texas for 23 years as a Production Associate were she builds wire harnesses for airplanes.

beautiful grandchildren. Grandson Keaton is 6 and Granddaughter Taylor is almost 3.

Knowing she was different [meaning “set apart”] from the world; it was a definite struggle growing up and keeping a value system that is so different from those around her. She grew up in a Christian home and that made a huge and eternal difference in her life. From a child through early adulthood; suffering through abuse, rape, the loss of a child and then later on battling through 11+ years of cancer, she has a heart to help others to see, their past or present – doesn’t define who they are now or in their future.
